Executive Committee Positions

 

President
The President is the figurehead and public face of the Union. It is his or her job to liaise regularly with the school and to maintain and develop public relations. As the Chief Executive of LSST Union Ltd, he or she liaises with the Union's General Manager on behalf of the Executive Committee. The President essentially leads the Executive Committee, supporting and co-ordinating the activities of the team.
Vice-President
The Vice-President ensures that democracy is prevalent within the Union, and is also responsible for co-ordinating all Union campaigns. As the official secretary and treasurer of LSST Union Ltd, the Vice-President oversees the Union's finances and commercial activity. He or she is also responsible for developing and maintaining positive relations with the local community.

The Welfare Officer
The Welfare Officer is responsible for raising awareness of all issues affecting student education and welfare. He or she strives to improve the academic experience of students by running campaigns, co-ordinating events and publicising services. He or she also works closely with the Union's Advice and Representation Centre to provide an advice and advocacy service. He or she co-ordinates the Union's course representative scheme, helping students to voice their concerns over academic issue to the School

The Cultural Sports Secretary
The Cultural Sports Secretary oversees the running of cultural, social, sports actigvities in the school . Together with the President, he or she works with the school on all matters pertaining to cultural and sports facilities, with the aim of providing the best possible sports and cultural activity service to students. It is the responsibility of the cultural sports secretary to encourage both participation and performance in sports and cutural exercise, by providing opportunity and pursuing excellence.
Editor
The editor takes responsibility for co-ordinating, editing and producing the Union's official fortnightly ‘lifestyle' magazine. He or she also works closely with the editor and sub-editors to produce the Union's official fornight newspaper.
